Mathews Market Days in partnership with The Court House Players are proud to announce the first annual Little Miss Mathews Pageant! We are so excited for this revival of an old time favorite!
We are so proud of all 18 of our contestants who entered The 1st Annual Little Miss Mathews Pageant. Young ladies aged 3 to 18 whom reside in Mathews County were invited to enter this years pageant. Scarlett Rose is 5 years old and will begin kindergarten this fall at Mathews Elementary School. She is one of 5 children, and she loves her big family. Along with her large family she has many pets, but her favorite is her orange tabby cat named Leekal. Leekal is her shadow and sleeps with her every night. She has been taking dance lessons at the Mathews Dance school for 3 years. She has also taken gymnastics classes in Middlesex off and on, and she is an avid T-Ball player for Mathews County Little League. If she’s not singing & dancing then you can find her drawing, painting and creating! This is her performing to one of her favorite songs by Katie Perry “Firework”
Ada Barnes is a rising 7th grader at Thomas Hunter Middle School. She enjoys singing, dancing, playing the French horn and performing with her theater groups. She is a member of Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church and can be found there most Sundays singing with the praise band! Ada loves singing for Jesus and performing with her talented dad and brothers. Here she is performing “Let it Go.”
Hannah McBurney is 17 years old and is an upcoming senior at Mathews High School. She is on the Varsity Cheer Squad and a dedicated member of both the Mathews Girls Varsity soccer team and Baystars travel soccer Team. Outside of athletics, she is an employee at a local shop in town, Cattails. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to church, and being at the beach. Hannah is proud to call Mathews County home, and cherishes each unique feature about this small town. During the Little Miss Mathews Pageant, she preformed a dance duet with her best friend, Addy Lowe to the song “Velvet Moon.”
Where can you meet the 2025 Little Miss Mathews Royal Court??
~Their 1st appearance will be at the 2025 Mathews Market Days Poster Reveal on August 23, 2025 at 11:00am at The Bay School Community Arts Center.
~Look for them at this years Mathews Market Days September 5th & 6th 2025. They will be doing a meet and greet!
~They will be in the Mathews Homecoming Parade TBD on the date and time.
